Adolescence is very difficult. Asking which is harder if becoming a young adult in body or in mind is even more difficult. There is many different opinions on this but i would say they are about equal. Beginning with body changes there many many children and teenagers that have to deal with this problem everyday. Being over weight, being under weight, having you body change and go through nasty things you've never had before. Some people will get bullied for having pimples, there body being different then the other kids because they either went through changes faster or slower and dealing with something you cant change you cant help i believe is very hard just about as hard as going through mentally growing up. Moving onto mentally growing up there so many things teens have to deal with too. Starting with when and how to mature when you can be a child and fool around, when you need to be proper and act like an adult. Even worse some kids have to go through even harder mental factors that they cant control one bit like parents if your parents are divorced or getting a divorce it messes up your mind and really can hold you back from growing up and moving on in life. Possibly even school making sure your grades are great or else "your not good enough your not smart' making it seem like you have to reach a standard and be that way which brings back to having to look a certain way and meeting that standard so that's why i believe both ways are the most difficult.

In my opinion Dede is reluctant to the reporter because she sick and tired off all the same questions and people coming to her to here the story. It seems that all Dede wants is to have a normal life and concentrate on herself rather than being interviewed all the time. As on page three it says that now that all the interviews and other things are over Dede can finally take up her own life again. Also its seems that Dede sees her self putting a picture on her life. In chapter one it explains how one of the reasons why she pushes away the interviews is because with out even realizing it she sets up her life as it is an exhibit for the people who read her as The Sister who Survived. Finally i believe Dede is bothered by these interviews and is reluctant with the reporter is because shes used to everyone coming to her and treating her like the sister who survived and she doesn't want that
